Seema Jain, CPA
Founder and Partner
Seema Jain is the founder of Axiom CPA. Seema began her career with PriceWaterhouse over 35 years ago, in audit, then moved into the tax department. Later moved into industry and worked for Benjamin Moore, as the National Controller. In 2001, Seema with her family relocated to Tampa, Florida and started the her own accounting and tax practice. Seema's vast experience in international tax planning has won her many complex tax clients who have reaped the rewards of her expertise in this discipline.
Seema is actively involved in the community, has been on the Board for TIE Tampa Bay and a volunteer advocate with Guardian Ad Litem. She is passionate about helping underprivileged children. In her spare time, she enjoys her time with family and friends, watching movies, and yoga.
Imran Akhtar, CPA
Managing Partner
Imran Akhtar is a seasoned finance and accounting professional with over two decades of experience in financial consulting, tax planning, public accounting and audits. He holds an MBA in Information Systems Management, a Master’s in Accounting, and is a licensed CPA in the State of Florida. Imran began his career in banking, where he spent years in banking and wealth management, successfully leading large teams and driving business growth. He then transitioned into public accounting, having more than a decade of helping clients in tax matters, leading in tax planning, consultation and audits, assisting a diverse range of clients from a diverse range of Industries. He also served as an Auditor with the US Treasury in their Large Business & International Division, where he was responsible for auditing some of the largest U.S. corporations, gaining in-depth expertise in corporate tax compliance, financial reporting, and regulatory standards. With a unique blend of leadership, technical expertise, and regulatory experience, Imran brings valuable insight into complex financial matters, making him a trusted advisor in both business and accounting fields.
Outside of his Professional life, Imran loves spending time with his family, playing cricket and is an enthusiastic follower of sports, movies, and music.
Janet Diaz
Staff Accountant
Janet brings over 25 years of experience in both public and private accounting to her role as Staff Accountant. She is responsible for maintaining accurate bookkeeping records, preparing financial statements, and handling tax filings for a diverse portfolio of clients. In addition to her extensive accounting background, Janet is a licensed Real Estate Agent (Realtor), adding valuable insight into property and investment-related financial matters.
Outside of work, Janet enjoys spending time with her family — she’s a proud mother of three and grandmother of two. She loves attending concerts, exploring new places and restaurants, and relaxing with a good movie or TV series.
Jose L. Fabian
Staff Account & Payroll Professional
With more than 20 years of experience in the accounting and payroll field, Jose brings extensive expertise in financial management, compliance, and operational efficiency. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting and dual Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees in Accounting and Human Resources Management, combining strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of people and organizational processes.
Throughout his career, Jose has developed a reputation for precision, reliability, and leadership. Jose has successfully managed complex accounting operations, implemented process improvements, and ensured adherence to regulatory standards across all areas of financial and payroll management.
Mouad Kharbach
Staff Accountant
Mouad specializes in bookkeeping, sales tax, and tax preparation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Risk Management from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Casablanca, Morocco. Before joining Axiom, Mouad worked in PwC’s corporate tax department, where he gained valuable experience in complex tax matters. He enjoys learning about evolving tax laws and is passionate about helping clients save money through accurate and strategic tax planning. Mouad values teamwork and believes that collaboration is key to delivering the best results for clients. In his free time, he enjoys watching soccer games and cooking.
